Feds Asked to Not Attend DEFCON
The Dark Tangent has posted on the official DEFCON conference website that this may be a good year for the feds not to attend. In the post the recent events surrounding the Edward Snowden whistle-blowing are cited. Dark Tangent states that, ” I think it would be best for everyone involved if the feds call a “time-out” and not attend DEF CON this year. This will give everybody time to think about how we got here, and what comes next.”
The game “Spot the Fed” has been played at many a past DEFCONs. With the revelation of the expansive and invasive scope for the Feds to tap into personal communications there is a fear that Fed involvement at this year’s DEFCON may cause issues.
